Term 2 create task Matariki

WALT: Summarise and analyse ideas and information from different texts Hi readers my create task is about Matariki or 7 stars its called Maori New Year there is 7 stars or sister that was born with a mother and father. Ive done my word search

• They were born from the sky

• They turn into a normal star and do a zig zag

• The matariki happens in the sky

• They were born with a mother and father

• The oldest sister is Matariki she guides her other sisters

• The stars disappear at late April

• There are different names of the Matariki in english its called the Pleiades and the Hawaiian name is Makali‘i

•  The stars happens in the north-east-horizon

a small school is celebrating a very special

event.
